Great Basin Pulse does not sell personal information. There is no account system and no advertising network. If you choose to support the site, that checkout goes through Ko-fi and is not on this page. It is a personal tip, not a charitable contribution.
Cloudflare Web Analytics may run in the background. It is cookieless and does not identify you as a person. Cloudflare, as the host, also sees ordinary request logs (IP address, user agent) the way any website host does.
Live numbers come from public agencies and datasets (USGS, NRCS, NWS including the NWPS Truckee at Reno forecast, EPA AirNow, the U.S. Drought Monitor, NIFC WFIGS fire perimeters, and California's freshwater HAB reports on data.ca.gov). Nevada HAB advisories are linked out, not ingested. Lake Tahoe clarity is a static annual UC Davis TERC figure, not a live feed. Reno–Sparks tap-water quality comes from TMWA's annual Water Quality Report, not a real-time feed. HAB lines are recreational-water notices, not drinking-water alerts. Public CSV and JSON at /data reprint those same readings. The Watch page embeds official YouTube videos (Patagonia Films and Exposure Labs) via youtube-nocookie.com. Those services have their own terms. This site is not affiliated with the agencies, films, or organizations it names.
The underlying USGS, NRCS, NWS, EPA AirNow, U.S. Drought Monitor, and similar agency readings remain public. Great Basin Pulse's compiled daily record (the organized numbers, Journal prose, and Today's Pulse text) is CC BY 4.0. Attribution back to Great Basin Pulse and greatbasinpulse.com is required.
